New Bursa CEO takes the helm

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Tajuddin Atan officially starts his new role as chief executive officer of Bursa Malaysia on Friday.

He takes over the helm at Bursa from Datuk Yusli Mohamed Yusoff, who had served the exchange as chief executive officer since 2004.

According to a statement from Bursa, Tajuddin will be responsible for driving Bursa forward to becoming an attractive and competitive exchange in the region.

His mandate will also be to enhance the Malaysian capital market's position as a destination of choice for listings and investments regionally.

He was the managing director of RHB Bank Bhd and group managing director of RHB Capital Bhd prior to his current position at Bursa.
