Maxis to relist in Bursa

18/9 Maxis has proposed to relist with an exposure draft posted on the Securities Comm website. The IPO would comprise 2.25 b shares of 10c each.

18/9 FTSE announced Friday that it had added Malaysia to the watch list for its advanced emerging markets index.

18/9 European markets were in the red in Friday morning trade. The benchmark of DJ Euro Stoxx 50, FTSE 100, Cac 40 and Dax were down.

18/9 Crude palm oil gained RM 14 to Rm2,196 per tonne at 11.15 am.

15/9 Intertek survey shows Sept 1 to 15 palm oil exports fall 20 % to 529,980 tonnes. CPO up Rm 34 to RM 2,104 per tonne.

15/9 The US govt may be closed to a stake sale in Citigroup, sources told Bloomberg. The govt owns a 34% stake in the banking group.

14/9 Phase 1 of the Gorgon project will cost A$43 b. The project is forecast to earn A$300 b in LNG sales to China, India and Japan in 1st 20 years.

11/9 Mulpha has proposed to sell a unit with stakes in Hong Kong listed Greenfield Chemical Holdings for HK$281 mil, or RM 129.4 mil cash.

10/9 SapuraCrest made a net profit of RM 52 mil, or 4.14 sen per share on RM 1.03bil sales in the quarter ended July 31; Proposed 3 sen dividend.

10/9 OPEC said it will keep current total production quotas at 24.845 million barrels a day; Crude oil rose 81 cents to USD 72.18.

10/9 CB Industrial said it won a contract to supply palm oil mill equipment worth USD 4.48 mil to a planter in Guatemala.

10/9 MPOB said palm oil exports dropped 9.5% in August; Stockpile increased 6.2 % to 1.415 m tonnes, while outpt was flat at 1.49 mil tonnes.

10/9 Malaysia's industrial production index fell 8.4% in July from a year ago after decreasing a revised 9.5% in June, Statistics Department.
