Unisem will issue 10% new shares at RM 1.45

9/10 The FBM KLCI added 3.43 points to 1233.52 at noon. CIMB +22c to RM 12.34, Genting +12c to RM 7.32, TopGlove +12c to RM 8.27 and Wynn-C1 + 12c to 27 c

9/10 Tabung Haji has agreed to subscribe to the remaining RM 183.6 m in Bank Islam preference shares apportioned to Dubai Financial Group.

9/10 Unisem has announced that it will issue up to 10% of share capital at RM 1.45 per share for a private placement exercise.

9/10 The Dow advanced 61.29 points, or 0.63 % to 9786.87 in overnight trading ; Crude oil jumped USD 2.12 to USD 71.69 a barrel.

8/10 The statistics department said exports dropped 19.8% in Aug yr-on-yr, up from a 22.9% fall in July. By value, exports stood at RM 47.8bil.

8/10 The FBM KLCI closed up 0.94% to 1230.09.

8/10 Spot gold rose US$10.51 to US$1,054.71 per ounce at 4.30pm. Gold has risen 20.48% since the beginning of the year.

8/10 Top Glove declares final and special dividends totaling 15 sen net for FYE Aug 31. It posted RM 56.83m net profit on RM 427.34 revenue.

8/10 Crude palm oil for Dec delivery was down RM 9 to RM 2,068 per tonne at noon while spot crude hovered at US 70 per barrel.

7/10 Overnight Dow jumped another 131.50 points, or 1.37% to 9731.25; Crude oil futures advanced 47 cents to USD 70.88 a barrel.


6/10 JP Morgan economists said in a report that the US’ Sept jobless rate meant it cold take up to 2013 to recover jobs lost in the recession.
